Vietnam customer order 60 tons high alumina bricks.
01. Anti-flaking bricks have better thermal stability than high alumina bricks
Compared with anti-flaking high-alumina bricks, high-aluminum bricks use both process proportions and raw materials. Bauxite with high aluminum content is the main raw material, but anti-flaking bricks use high-alumina bauxite and add zircon stone, so The products produced are stronger, resistant to chemical corrosion, and have low coefficients of thermal expansion and thermal conductivity. High-alumina bricks only use high-alumina bauxite as raw material, and their chemical corrosion resistance is not as good as that of anti-flaking bricks. The main reason is that anti-flaking bricks have better thermal shock stability than high-alumina bricks.
02. Strong ability to resist peeling bricks
Anti-flaking bricks have strong resistance to spalling. They are also resistant to erosion by potassium, sodium, sulfur, chlorine and alkaline salts, and have low thermal conductivity. They are the product of choice for the transition zone and decomposition zone of cement kilns. Their characteristic is thermal shock resistance. Good performance and strong ability to adapt to various atmospheres and environments. It is used in the preheating zone of the rotary kiln or in the decomposition furnace and the grate cooler.
03.The difference in temperature
There is also a difference in the firing temperature between high alumina bricks and anti-flaking bricks. The firing temperature of anti-flaking bricks is 30°C higher than that of ordinary high-temperature bricks. The thermal conductivity of anti-flaking bricks is lower than that of ordinary ones, and the softening temperature under load is higher. The reason why high-alumina bricks cannot enter large-scale cement rotary dry kilns is that their service life is short, and frequent repairs and kiln shutdowns cause a large amount of energy loss and economic losses. More importantly, it cannot resist the inherent shortcomings of use in harsh areas.
04.Use
The refractory resistance of high alumina bricks is mainly affected by the aluminum content, and the refractory resistance increases with the increase of aluminum content. It is a neutral material, and its ability to resist alkaline slag is much weaker than that of anti-flaking bricks. It is mainly used for lining blast furnaces, hot blast furnaces, electric furnace tops, blast furnaces, reverberatory furnaces and calcium carbide furnaces. In addition, it can also be used to produce checker bricks, plugs, nozzle bricks, etc.
05.Conclusion
High-alumina bricks have relatively more uses than anti-stripping bricks, and their usage is large, and there are many differences in price. In fact, the selection of these two types of bricks depends on the erosion of the furnace lining and temperature, and each has its own performance and use effect.
