Ceramic Fiber Board
Ceramic fiberboard, also known as aluminum silicate fiberboard and refractory fiberboard, is a kind of refractory insulation material widely used between 600 degrees and 1200 degrees, which is made of continuous production and advanced process production line.
1. high compressive strength, long service life
2. low heat capacity, low thermal conductivity
3. non-brittle material, good toughness
4. easy to cut and install, convenient construction
Product Description
Ceramic fiber board is hard in texture, excellent in toughness and strength, and has excellent wind erosion resistance. Heating does not expand, light weight, convenient construction, arbitrary shear bending, is an ideal energy-saving material for kiln, pipeline and other thermal insulation equipment.
Application
In the ceramic industry, there are often areas where intense heat is generated, such as near burners or heating elements. Ceramic fiber board can be used as a heat shield to protect other sensitive components or areas from direct exposure to high temperatures.
Ceramic fiberboard is extensively used to line the walls, roof, and floor of glass furnaces. It provides effective insulation, reducing heat loss and optimizing energy efficiency during the glass melting process.
Ceramic fiberboard is extensively used to line the walls, roofs, and bottoms of steelmaking furnaces, such as electric arc furnaces (EAFs), basic oxygen furnaces (BOFs), and ladles. The high-temperature resistance and insulation capabilities of ceramic fiberboard help reduce heat loss.

A1:Ceramic fiberboard is generally safe to use when handled properly. However, it is essential to follow safety guidelines during installation and maintenance to avoid inhaling airborne fibers. It is recommended to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with ceramic fiberboard.
A2:Compared to traditional refractory materials like brick and castables, ceramic fiberboard offers advantages such as better insulation, lower heat storage, and quicker heating and cooling. It is also lighter and easier to install in complex shapes and tight spaces.
A3:Yes, they are easy to cut and shape using standard cutting tools, allowing it to be customized to fit various applications and equipment.
A4: The lifespan of ceramic fiberboard depends on the operating conditions and frequency of thermal cycling. Under normal operating conditions and proper maintenance, ceramic fiberboard can last for several years in high-temperature applications.
A5: While ceramic fiberboard is relatively easy to install, it is essential to follow manufacturer guidelines for proper installation and handling. Regular inspections and maintenance are recommended to ensure the continued effectiveness of the material in its intended applications.
