Low Cement Castable
Low cement castables are new castables with refractory aggregate as the main raw material and a small amount of binder. The content of calcium oxide in this product is not higher than 3%, and the amount of cement added is only about 5% to improve the refractory performance of the castable. Its thermal shock resistance, slag resistance and erosion resistance are significantly improved, surpassing similar refractory bricks.

Low Cement Castable Description
Low cement castable is the castable whose CaO content less than 3%, usually the refractory cement dosage is from 3-8%, but high grade cement is needed to ensure the strength of the castable. Low cement castable comparing to common refractory castable, low cement castable has better performance in high temperature, and require less water, it makes the castable has lower porosity and higher density.
The Application of Low Cement Castable
Low cement castable suitable for linings of various heat treatment furnaces, and heating furnaces, and shaft kilns, and rotary kilns, and electric furnace covers, and blast furnace tapholes, etc.
Low cement castable self-flowing low-cement castables are suitable for integral spray guns for injection metallurgy Liners, and also for outer linings of water-cooled pipes of heating furnaces, etc.
Low cement castable is used in the back kilneye, wicket cover and back of cooling machine of cement rotary kiln and other thermal equipment with good performance and long service life.

A1:Low cement catable is developed on the basis of clay and refractory castables. We have three classifications for low cement castable, bauxite based low cement castable, mullite based low cement castable and corundum based low cement castable.
A2:Low cement catable after moulding by casting, the cement compound produced during maintenance is less. There is no damage of large amount of hydrated bond during heating and roasting, which will reduce the medium temperature strength.
A3:Low cement catable are installed in a dry or wet form. In dry form, the material is mixed with water, troweled into shape, and then allowed to dry. In wet form, the material is mixed with water and then troweled into shape. Both methods require a 4–inch minimum thickness for furnace linings.
A4:High strength castable should typically be cured slowly and evenly. This can be achieved by covering the surface with moist insulation or burlap and allowing it to dry slowly over a period of several days. Additionally, it is important to keep the surface free from exposure to wind and other sources of cold air.
