Ceramic Fiber Bulk

Ceramic fiber bulk is made by melting the raw materials at high temperature through a resistance furnace, and then producing them through the blowing/spinning fiber process. The density of ceramic fiber is small, which is more than 75% lighter than the lightweight heat-insulating brick lining, and the heat capacity is only about 1/10 of the light-weight heat-insulating lining.
It has
1.Sperformance
2.Fiber length
3.High tensile strength and few slag balls
4.High thermal stability
5.Features such as whiteness

Product Description

The fiber surface of ceramic fiber cotton is smooth and cylindrical, and the cross section is usually circular. Its structure is characterized by high porosity (generally greater than 90%), and large pore size and specific surface area. It is precisely because the ceramic fiber has this structure that it has a high porosity, a large pore diameter and a large specific surface area, so that the ceramic fiber has excellent thermal insulation performance and a small volume density.

Application

ceramic kiln

Ceramic fiber bulk is often used for high-temperature insulation in industrial furnaces, kilns, and ovens. It helps maintain consistent temperatures, prevents heat loss, and improves energy efficiency.

Glass Furnace

Glass manufacturing processes involve extreme heat, and ceramic fiber bulk is used to line glass furnaces and kilns to maintain stable and controlled temperatures.

Steel Industry

It is used for lining and insulation in metal processing industries, such as foundries and steel plants. It helps protect equipment from extreme heat and provides a barrier between the molten metal and the surroundings.

Q1: How do I install ceramic fiber bulk?

A1:Installation guidelines may vary depending on the specific application, but generally, ceramic fiber bulk can be cut and shaped to fit the desired area using appropriate tools. It is important to follow manufacturer instructions and take safety precautions to prevent exposure to airborne fibers during installation.

Q2:What are the temperature limits of it

A2:It can withstand temperatures in excess of 1000°C (1832°F) and offers excellent thermal stability, making it suitable for high-temperature industrial applications.

Q3:Can ceramic fiber bulk be recycled?

A3:It is typically not easily recycled due to its high-temperature manufacturing process and potential contamination during use. Proper disposal methods should be followed in accordance with local regulations.

Q4:How long does ceramic fiber bulk last?

A4: The lifespan of ceramic fiber cotton depends on factors such as the operating temperature, mechanical stress, and chemical exposure it experiences. In high-temperature environments, its performance may degrade over time, but with proper maintenance and replacement as needed, it can provide effective insulation for several years.

Q5:Can ceramic fiber wool be used for sound insulation?

A5: While it can offer some sound absorption properties due to its fibrous structure, it is not primarily designed for sound insulation. There are more effective materials available specifically for soundproofing applications.
