Ceramic Fiber Paper

Ceramic fiber paper is a kind of industrial paper with heat insulation and sealing function that can withstand high temperature of 1350 ℃. The thickness can be 1-10mm. It has low thermal conductivity and stable thermal shock resistance. Ideal for thin and light insulation materials in industry.
1. Low thermal conductivity, low heat capacity;
2. Free of asbestos and corrosive substances;
3. The texture is flexible and tear-resistant;
4. Excellent electrical insulation and sound insulation performance;
5. Excellent corrosion resistance;

Product Description

Ceramic fiber paper is made of selected aluminum silicate ceramic fiber cotton as the main raw material by wet forming process. On the basis of the traditional technology, the slag removal and drying process has been improved. It is characterized by no asbestos/flexible adjustment of bulk density according to the application, high strength, good elasticity, and strong machinability. Due to the different use temperature, it is divided into four kinds of materials, standard, high aluminum, ceramic fiber paper with diamonds

Application

ceramic kiln

In the ceramic industry, it can be used for light weight kiln car structure and hot surface lining of kiln, division of each temperature zone of kiln and refractory material.

Glass Furnace

Ceramic fiber paper can be employed as a kiln liner to create a more consistent and energy-efficient heating environment, promoting even heating and cooling throughout the glass artwork.

Steel Industry

In the steel industry, aluminum silicate paper can be used for expansion joints, backing insulation, heat insulation sheet and mold insulation, etc. It is a high-quality choice of refractory insulation materials.

Q1: How does ceramic fiber paper compare to other insulation materials?

A1:It offers excellent thermal resistance and flexibility compared to traditional insulation materials. It can withstand higher temperatures and provides better insulation in high-heat environments while remaining lightweight and easy to handle.

Q2:What temperature range can they withstand?

A2:They can typically withstand temperatures ranging from 1,800°F (982°C) to 2,500°F (1371°C), depending on the specific grade and composition. Higher-grade papers can handle even higher temperatures.

Q3:Can ceramic fiber paper be used in contact with molten glass?

A3:Yes, certain grades of ceramic fiber paper are suitable for use in contact with molten glass. They provide a thermal barrier, preventing rapid heat transfer and helping to shape and mold glass products.

Q4:How is it installed?

A4: It can be easily cut and shaped to fit various applications. It can be wrapped around components, adhered using ceramic adhesives, or held in place with metal fasteners or retaining clips. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) should be worn during installation.

Q5:Are there different thickness options for them?

A5: Yes, they are available in various thicknesses to suit different insulation needs. Thicker paper provides better insulation, while thinner paper offers more flexibility and easier shaping.
