Saudi Arabia customer order 40tons high alumina bricks
High alumina bricks are used within the temperature range they can withstand, and are not easy to be damaged or melted. It can also protect the furnace shell very well. The thickness of the masonry will also have a great impact on the furnace lining.
Although the thicker the masonry, the slower the heat source diffuses. But too thick is not scientific. A reasonable thickness will prolong the service life of the furnace lining. If it is used in the lining of a rotary kiln, the thickness is generally between 220-250mm, because if the thickness is too thin, the service life will be shortened, and if it is too thick, the kiln diameter will be small and the output will be low. It not only increases the weight of the kiln body. Moreover, there will be a phenomenon of squeezing out high-alumina bricks, which will affect normal operation.
If it is used as a permanent layer at the bottom of a calcium carbide furnace, generally six layers are used for bricks with a thickness of 75mm. If it is used more, it will also affect the output of the calcium carbide furnace, and if the number of layers used is reduced, it will also affect the service life. If it is used in the furnace wall of calcium carbide furnace, the reasonable thickness is 345mm. If it is too thick, it will affect the output, and if it is too thin, it will still shorten the service life.
If it is used in a hot blast stove or a large wall of a blast furnace, a reasonable thickness is the best choice. It is used on the working layer to remove the insulation layer. The thickness of the wall lining of a hot blast stove and a blast furnace is generally 345mm. Not even thin.
If high alumina bricks are used in waste incinerators, the thickness is about 230mm. If the thickness is 65mm, it will be replaced soon due to wear resistance or erosion during the service life, which will delay normal use. A reasonable thickness is the best choice.
If it is some furnace lining with low temperature, the temperature is lower than 1200 ℃, you can also use 114mm, 65mm thick can also be used. It still depends on the temperature and corrosion of the lining.
In short, no matter what type of furnace lining is used, it depends on the actual use and cannot be generalized. A reasonable thickness will prolong the service life of the furnace lining.
